The meaning of HOMEMAKER

The meaning of HOMEMAKER
I love the title "home maker" because the home is our children's safe haven, shelter from the world. The home is where children recieve their confidence, their spirit, their love for themselves and others. The home is where the family blossoms. What an honorable task we have as the "maker" of such a sacred and beautiful place.

The Vocation of Motherhood

Welcome to Archangel Daily Reflections!

My name is Kim and I am a frazzled mother of 4! Ben 6, Clementine 4, Anna Claire 3, & Callahan 7 months.....life is busy to say the least! This blog began when God called me to start the Archangel Mothers Ministry at my Church two months after my third in three years was born. I thought He was crazy but now I see the fruits of answering the call. Through starting this ministry, I have learned so much about what the true meaning of the Vocation of Motherhood is all about. I have also learned that women are thirsting for encouragement and meaning in serving their families in a very self serving society where the vocation of motherhood has been demoted. I have grown so in love with Jesus and my faith and He has shown me a new found passion for writing.

My favorite part of the day is early in the morning when I have coffee with Jesus and the blessed Mother. It is my fuel to get me through the day. On this blog you will find posts of my daily reflection of the Gospel reading that is read in the Catholic Mass all around the world. I am no theologian, just a devout Catholic who is on fire for my faith. I feel God has called me to spread the good news about the Vocation of Motherhood which has been lost in today's society. I thank author Donna Marie Cooper Oboyle who has touched my life with her books on motherhood. Because of her, I view our holy vocation in a whole new light. I highly recommend her books, especially the Heart of Motherhood, which changed my life.

I hope you will find inspiration and become rejuvenated in your vocation of motherhood through visiting this blog.

May God bless you in your work as a mother. You only have one chance to raise your children and to love them as Jesus loves you. Be good to yourself and to your family and remember to always call upon the Lord for help and grace. Our job as mothers is the MOST important job on earth. No degree, no job, no house, no car, no travel experience, no perfect wardrobe will ever measure to the calling we have in motherhood. We are servants to our families and how honored and blessed we are for God to have given His greatest gift to us....His Children.

Motherhood is no easy task but always keep in mind that great sacrifices equals great rewards.....eternal rewards in our vocation! So, grab a cup of coffee and be inspired to become the mother you were always meant to be through turning to Jesus and His purpose for you as a mother.

Blessings to you and yours,

Kim

About Me

Kim
TEXAS
I love my life thanks be to God! I enjoy fine foods and wine with my husband. I love dancing to Johnny Cash in the kitchen with my son, Ben. I am a country girl at heart who enjoys a big blue open sky, wide open spaces, cold beer, dirt roads and country music. I also like to get dressed up in heels and hit the town on a hot date with my husband! I am so passionate about my catholic faith and crave to be in front of the Blessed Sacrament in the silence of my heart where I find Jesus. My favorite thing to do is pray the rosary and play the guitar. My faith and my family is my life....and more than anything, I just love to have FUN!
